Discussion

This spit was excavated to define the relationship between Grubenhaus 012AD07057 and ditch segment 012AD05398. The material removed was a sandy silty loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3). Although it was eventually established that the Grubenhaus cut the feature, it became evident that the ditch segment was not part ot 012AD05024, as initially believed.
